Plans & Progress
We have found our land to purchase and are ready to move forward on the Mission and Vision. We plan to be working on the land by September. Our commited volunteer friends numbers about 10 for now that are ready to move now and work to fulfil this dream of teaching and learning personal and community sustainability in a off-grid retreat center.

Our goal is to recieve 20 students in the Spring of 2009.
Plans are being drawn by Jeff Nelson of Chatham Building and Design for a bermed earth facility which will included in its design all of the latest and best innovations for sustained off-grid living. The student Tee-Pee housing as well as the on-site housing facility will be set on Solar heated radiant floors for heat and electricity provided by Photo Votaic Systems. The use of composting toilets/systems will provide fertilizer and waste management. Transportation includes bicyles, electric carts, horses and walking paths. Sustained food production will be provided by hydroponic gardening and open air agriculture using only heirloom native seed. Their will be no animal food production. Viability of human sustainability depends on minimizing animal food competition by using grains for human consumption.
In the ancient times the people lived entirely off the land and had identified the potential nutrition in almost every plant in their surroundings. The earthling is at home here in nature and needs only to relearn balance with this gift of life, our Earth.
